Read Free Poetry -Death And All Our Friends by Alton Mungani (Narcissity The Scribe)

What nourishes me is what kills me…

My making is my breaking

The silver and gray strands of light that connect me to time are fast fading

I open up my arms, bare my soul, release my inhibitions

To embrace the seemingly inevitable end… the death that sucks my soul from my body…

As the darkness creeps in… The euphoria that comes with life-lessness engulfs me…

All things are dark, except where exposed by the light; that is what nature has taught us, or at least that’s what I’ve grown to know…

For I’ve seen beauty at its most vibrant, I’ve felt love at its deepest…

But when I touched it, I burned.. I smelt my flesh singe and sear as the fire of fear drew me in…

All that I once knew, all the windows that were once opened for me, all the doors are now impenetrable

Nothing else seems to make any sense…

I have found comfort in my complacence…

It’s all dark now… it’s Perfect Dark

The breath of Life smells of Death…

The hands that once so efficiently held time…broken…

Fate has broken Atlas’ knees, he is no longer able to hold up the Earth

Humanity…the scourge of the Earth, the scum and muck that we made of it, prepares to die…

A Black Hole, a Perfect Dark, reveals its gift…

Supernovas are sucked in… the Neutron Star collides…

the Universe implodes….

All this… All my life’s work… all my existence’s deliberations…

All my frailties and invincibilities… culminate into one massive darkness…

A dark so DARK I can’t breathe…

Angels Sing of the end… Angels Scream…

As the candle dwindles and flickers out, as the hourglass shatters…

The End…

I appreciate the work this man is putting out….. please reshare this.
